He learned the craft of glass-eye-production in a little vilage called Mönchröden, now a part of "Rödental". The neighbour-village Sonneberg was a center of the toy-industry in this time. In the surrounding area, such as Oeslau, Neustadt and Coburg a lot of toy producers have settled down.
Reinhold Lesch started to produce eyes made of glass and to supply the surrounding doll- and plush-toy-producers. So in the year 1928 the company Reinhold Lesch was founded, wich developed very fast to a worldwide leading supplier of the doll- and bearpoducers.

It's cared a lot for good workmanship, because many products are also today produced by handicraft.
The assortment was gradually extended and contends today a lot of accessories, which are necessary for the bear- and dollproduction. Beside the glass-sector the company Reinhold Lesch started in 1958 with plastic- injection- moulding and can offer several products and know-how for other industries, such as automobil-industriy.

The company presents itself yearly at the Int. Toy Fair in Nürnberg, New York and also at different markets and fairs of the bear scene.
